Challenge
The original layout simply didn't make sense. Although there was plenty of square footage available, the way the space had been divided created inefficient bathrooms, limited storage, and a poor overall flow.
Rather than simply updating the existing rooms, the goal was to rethink the entire area and make use of every inch of available space while creating a more functional primary suite, an additional full bathroom, dedicated laundry area, and significantly improved storage.
Design Solution
Designer Paul Williams completely reconfigured the existing floor plan, transforming the area into four distinct spaces: a large primary closet, primary bathroom, second full bathroom, and dedicated laundry room.
Walls, plumbing, electrical, lighting, cabinetry, fixtures, and finishes were planned around the new layout so that virtually every inch of the existing footprint served a purpose. The large primary shower features LICO Venetian Marble walls, while a DreamLine Allure freestanding tub creates a separate focal point within the primary bath. Coordinated Forevermark vanities, MSI vanity tops, Huntington Brass Razo fixtures, MSI flooring, and Sherwin-Williams paint selections carry the design through the newly organized spaces.
What had once been an awkward and inefficient layout is now a thoughtfully designed combination of two bathrooms, a large primary closet, and a dedicated laundry room - all within the home's existing footprint.
